年末了，最後一個月的週三我想記一些回顧，那就從 ADPList 開始吧？
ADPList 是一個讓專業人士可以免費預約 mentor 聊聊的平台，我今年也在上面持續提供 mentoring 服務。累積下來，已經超過 3000 分鐘、完成了 60 多場 session。
超過 3000 分鐘、60 多場 session，這個數字我自己看到也有點意外。
畢竟後來每次就是 30 分鐘，累積起來還真的不少。但更重要的是，這些數字背後代表的是 60 多個不同的對話、60 多個不同的情境，以及我對這種作法的重新理解。
Like a lot of other people, I am going to officially distance myself from #ADPlist aka "Amazing Design People List". I've put up with the UI problems, the missing obvious use cases, the surprise reinstatement of your old hours with little to no notice after you've deleted them, and more.
Tonight, I found out they record and use UI to summarize the conversation, and give NO NOTICE or option to opt out. Who know what's done with the data after the fact?
Yeah yeah, "everyone" records meetings these days. That's not the point. "Everyone" also posts a message in the UI telling you clearly they're doing the recording.
ADPList is supposed to be a safe, supportive space for design people to get together and help each other out, but their UX and UI do not match this stated goal. I haven't done any mentoring on there for over a year now, because of all the reasons I noted in my first paragraph. Tonight I came back as a mentee... and I'm not going back again.
