Ouch 🤕 at the selfie of prominent disability activists being at an ADA event unmasked. How can you be at an event where the entire purpose is about making places accessible to all disabled people, when you immediately exclude COVID high risk people?

"It was a reunion of friends, celebration, and recommitment to the work that need to be done."

Saying you are recommitting to the work of accessibility, while being unmasked at an ADA event that required masks, is shameful. How are they not ashamed?

This pandemic has truly showed the worst of people's solidarity.

Unbound
In 33 years, a spark ignited,
Monumental ADA, courage united.
For disabled souls, a beacon of pride,
Gratitude blooms, barriers defied.

Opportunities woven, dreams set free,
This is just the start, a path to foresee.
In unity, we break barriers apart,
To etch a lasting art.

Over 30 years from when the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law, today, it continues to provide important protections from discrimination for people with disabilities., For the ADA’s 33rd anniversary, we want to recognize the advancements made to enhance protections so people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
