The disaster on Indonesia's Sumatra Island in late November 2025 devastated many places in Aceh, including tourist areas. A total of 225 tourist destinations were scattered across the province's disaster areas due to flooding and landslides.
Murtalamuddin, spokesperson for the Aceh Disaster Management Command Post, stated that most of the damage was categorized as severe and spread across several areas directly affected by the floods and landslides. Of the 225 damaged tourist destinations, 198 were severely damaged, 18 were moderately damaged, and nine were slightly damaged.

He detailed the 198 heavily damaged tourist destinations, with the largest number being in Gayo Lues Regency (65), followed by Aceh Tamiang (42), Bireuen (20), Bener Meriah (19), and Pidie Jaya (13). Then, Aceh Singkil (10), North Aceh (8), Central Aceh (8), East Aceh (6), Southeast Aceh (4), and Langsa, Subulussalam, and West Aceh (one each).
Nine tourist destinations sustained minor damage, each located in two locations in North Aceh Regency, one in Langsa City, three in Central Aceh, one in Subulussalam, and two in Bireuen.
