Wrote a brief note to my federal MP, asking her not to let #AABill and/or other “national security”, “child pornography” legislations get in the way of #iCloud Advanced Data Protection in #Australia next year. (She wasn't in parliament back in 2018.)

We are learning lessons from the oh‐so‐recent Optus and Medibank #DataBreach, right?

I just submitted a submission on the #AAbill (https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Intelligence_and_Security/ReviewofTOLAAct). Submissions due at 5pm. Mine was only 300 words, and didn't cite a bunch of facts and figures, but it's *something*.
Maybe #auspol will ignore it, but at least I've tried.
