Houston residents can expect crowded roads and airports during Fourth of July weekend

Among the estimated 5.7 million Texans who will travel 50 miles or more for the Fourth of July holiday, the vast majority are expected to drive, according to AAA Texas.

Houston-area airports, roadways bracing for Memorial Day weekend travelers

Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport are projected to serve 1.3 million travelers this weekend, according to Houston Airports. A spokesperson for AAA Texas says 3.2 million people in the state are expected to drive to their vacation destinations.
