Join Library Innovation Lab's Director, Jack Cushman as he moderates a panel with Suffolk Law Legal Innovation and Technology Lab's Quinten Steenhuis and Mass Appeals Court Assistant Clerk Paul Tuttle. Pandemic-born, but here to stay. The Legal Innovation and Technology Lab at Suffolk University and the Massachusetts Appeals Court have collaborated to expand guided on-line interviews from court-promulgated forms to narrative pleadings and filings. The results have increased access to justice and decreased the court resources necessary to assist self-represented litigants. The user answers a series of questions, including questions about the merit of their filing, and the end product is a .pdf court filing that is electronically filed directly with the court. In addition, to explaining this technology-based solution, the presenters will also share the dynamics of their internal/external collaboration that lead to a successful rollout and expansion.
