The first week of the year for 52Frames is self portrait time. I wrote a poem in a mythical writing workshop led by Hannah Custis on
A New Possibility a few weeks ago. I decided to combine that poem with my self portrait.
I thought a foggy mirror would work well for this idea. The photos of me and of the poem were both taken on January 1st. This is the second year I've worked on the self portrait on the first day of the year. It may become a tradition.
Thanks to framer Gadgetgirl75_photography for the suggestion of overlaying words as an alternative to writing on my skin. I couldn't get a volunteer for that at this time of year. Maybe next year. And I decided to put most of the words covering the empty part of the mirror. Hopefully you can read my handwriting.
Even though you can't really see me, this photo & poem make me feel very vulnerable. Well, this is how I'll start my fourth year of 52frames

Even if I don't manage to do it this week, this challenge is inspiring me to do a series of self portraits with intentions written on my body.
Creating the intention/poem using the temporary word tattoos that were too old to stick properly is just the beginning.
