Portrait of a stranger is a real challenge - when I started 52Frames three years ago it was so intimidating I waited a week before signing up. I had a fairly easy in this week, asking a fellow ferry + bike commuter, and he happily agreed. This was our server at the Middle East Café. I asked if I could take his photo and he picked up the food tray again and smiled. The rice WAS that bright yellow and the Persian food was delicious! And his glasses were tinted yellow. We introduced ourselves, so now, he’s not a stranger.
I don't love this challenge but I rather like the moment I captured here. I did not give myself the pressure of waiting until I had my camera with the Petzval lens for my personal challenge. It’s hard to ask a stranger to pose for me. I fulfilled the brief and that's good enough for me.
