On the one hand, it correctly flags kink & sex censorship being a huge part of the misinformation phenomenon. @sunnymegatron is being awesome as per usual. But it is bandwagoning "new thing bad" as evident with the comparison to #50Shades, and ignoring the call is coming from inside the house. It wasn't better or safer in newsgroups, through back pages, or in forums/chat from my youth.

It's also a sort of pearl clutching I find frustrating. Can things go wrong with bondage? Sure, but there's a trend in kink culture of nitpicking not in support of, but against, as a form of social participation but also prestige seeking. It's explicitly part of the scene to seek real power and recognition through being an educator, and I have gotten way too much abuse from alleged experts and luminaries to trust "concerns" unilaterally. ++
