Today’s experiments ran along the lines of 3d carves and tapered bits. Taking a break from speed hogging. #BabyYoda I was dumb and had a 40% step over. And I rough cut too hard and peeled wood out. Second test, #BabyGroot was a proper step over. It’s entertaining taking stls and turning them into carves. I’ll have to think up some projects for it.

I made a video documenting my new workflow for creating 3D models of Celtic knots in Nomad Sculpt on the iPad, creating depth maps from those using Blender and, using those to make 3D carvings on a laser (Glowforge) and desktop CNC machine (Nomad 883). I made some single image stereograms, too, since those also come from depth maps.
