Oh, thanks for the reminder to re-watch this video! It's been awhile. Some nice moments with #Credor and #GrandSeiko artisans, and even a stop with the people making the GPS #Astron watches available then!

Coincidentally, I've been wearing a GPS Astron today, but a smaller (and to my eye more tasteful) three-hand model made possible when they introduced the #3X22 movement.

The eminently practical Seiko Astron #SBXD009!

There's little not to like about a GPS-synchronized watch in a tasteful size and shape and in titanium, with a nice ceramic bezel. The only thing I fret about with this one is the potential for the black coating to scratch off the base titanium bits, but so far 🤞that hasn't been an issue.

I have to say that I like this generation of 3X22 Astron better than the most recent I've seen, where they figured out how to abandon the ceramic bezel and presumably still get decent satellite reception. I really like the addition of the ceramic part's subtle variation in tone and finish — and of course the extra-good scratch resistance.
