QTeletextMaker v0.6.5-beta released. The Level 2.5 #teletext editor now has monochrome rendering modes so you can see what sixels are foreground and background. It also warns if enhancements are going to appear in the wrong place on Level 1.5 decoders.
Grab a Windows .exe from the zip at https://github.com/gkthemac/QTeletextMaker/releases/tag/0.6.5-beta (mind the Windows Defender SmartScreen warnings!) or compile the source on Linux with Qt 6 and CMake.
Attached: 1 image I've fixed libzvbi's IDL format A databroadcast decoding enough to extract the mostly-pointless debug output I added to vbit2 as a proof-of-concept example data stream 🥳 Image shows a crummy script on my workshop PC decoding a teletext signal live from my raspberry pi via a capture card.
Dear Mastodon,
If you could stop suggesting that I change my carefully chosen camel case hashtags to all lowers, that would sure be swell.
😠
Thinking outside the box for the #WeeklyTeletextArt "pirates" prompt.
Taking classic Level 1 #teletext decoders into account with "safety" foreground blue so the black foreground doesn't get hidden, and "safety" double height so ignored double size doesn't leave a spurious black stripe.
I nearly forgot #WeeklyTeletextArt again, but luckily @illarterate reminded me, and I'll repay him with mild teasing by making this week's prompt "On Time" 😄
