AI Written, AI Read cartoon - Marketoonist | Tom Fishburne

One piece of slang that has long embodied the short attention span Internet age is TL;DR, short for β€œtoo long; didn’t read.” With the explosion of generative AI tools, we’re rapidly entering the age of TL;DW: β€œtoo long, didn’t write.” A January survey from Fishbowl found that 40% of nearly 12,000 workers have used ChatGPT

The next Cville DSA BIKE NIGHT is next Tuesday the 14th!

γ€ŒBIKE NIGHT isn’t just a fun ride around the city in a large group with your comrades. It’s also a way for us to experience the deficiencies of our city’s infrastructure together and to have conversations about what needs to change and how we as a collective can make change happen.」

"Fondly" remembering the time my parents' neighbors in Virginia Beach opened an envelope, thought some white dust poofed out, and immediately called the cops because they thought they'd been anthraxed.

Last week I started going to the Smith Aquatic Center first thing to swim laps.

Since I was diagnosed with a herniated disc, have had to be pretty dormant, so it's something I've looked forward to on off-days.

The Rec Center is an awesome, inexpensive, accessible City amenity. $140 for a 6-month pass vs. $63/mo. for the Y.

One of the funniest things about Bertha is that she will get anxious and flip out at most everyone, but when it comes to utility and construction workers, she’s all ✊✊✊

Was ten feet away from a worker today who even told me she’s pretty (a common trigger for her πŸ˜‚), and she paid him no mind / kept focused on me. πŸ₯°

(side note: upon reading the poem, I couldn't help but wonder whether David Lynch has enjoyed it, as well)

This morning I came across this poemβ€”I love its fresh perspective on what that factoid means. I'll definitely be listening from different angles because of it:

Upon Reading That Eric Dolphy Transcribed Even the… | Poetry Magazine

I think first of two sparrows I met when walking home,

One of my favorite jazz factoids is that Eric Dolphy practiced by imitating and playing with birds.

Next time you listen to Dolphy, remember it! It's a nuance that I treasure and one that I think even the most skeptical listeners will appreciate.
