@seabikeblog do you happen to know why we require projects over a certain size to go to private contracting companies? It seems sdot should be able to hire enough people to keep their costs down, given the amount of ongoing work they have

like we've really hit the point where companies don't do phone screens anymore, they'd rather hand you something from codesignal and have you spend the majority of the time trying to overwrite __repr__?
easily 90% of the phone screen replacement / "coding test" i just did for an interview was "can you format the output in the esoteric way we want it formatted, because our vscode knockoff can't figure out python object returns"

Recruiter flat out said they could not get candidates to apply if they didn't call this "remote".
