An OG (original geek) and sarcastic ass

Last month, my family and I visited @panic to play an early demo of Big Walk: https://bigwalk.game/

I won't spoil anything, but it was a truly delightful experience. Playing Big Walk reminded me a lot of exploring Breath of the Wild for the first time, but you get to share that sense of wonder with others while exploring. Words don't do the game justice; you need to play it yourself.

Follow @panic to see if more demos are happening. Follow @cabel too, because he's awesome.

@gruber OK, OK, I'll give Kagi a try

Interestingly, Kagi seems to be one of the rare examples of a high quality paid app/service that is Android first.

Reject overpriced video game handhelds. Accept Crabboy™ as your new gaming system.

Shoutout to Shortwave: https://github.com/maunalinux/shortwave

I was disappointed to find that there is no official @somafm app for Linux, but Shortwave filled the void nicely. It has all my favorite SomaFM stations and many others from all over the world. 🎵

Fantastic app and a very easy install via Flatpak.

And feel free to recommend other good internet radio stations that you like!

My Steam Sale pickups...

...so far.

Holy shit, what happened to Pete Buttigieg?! Did he literally go off into the woods after the last election?

I've been travelling a lot for work recently. And while I love the Steam Deck, it takes up a ton of bag space. I went looking for something a little more travel-friendly, and found the AYANEO Air Plus: https://ayaneo.com/product/AYANEO-AIR-Plus-Mendocino.html

It's about the size of a Switch while being similar in power to the Deck. I installed Bazzite on it and it works great!

Ayaneo doesn't sell this model anymore, but there are plenty available on eBay. Worth checking out if you want a smaller Steam handheld.

Glad to see Pixelmator is sticking around post-Apple acquisition, as it's one of my favorite photo editing apps. Also good to see that you can still buy the software if you don't want a subscription.

They really did Pixelmator dirty with that new icon though. Just awful 🙅 https://mastodon.online/@9to5Mac/115888357106499678
