2024 infosec predictions:

1) Ransomware variant targeting Apple Vision Pro seen in wild shortly after device is released, victims must pay a ransom to remove the device and return to the real world.

2) Vulnerability in Tesla CyberTruck makes it trivial for anyone with a Flipper Zero and a paper clip to steal the vehicle. Still, the vulnerability only gets 2.0 on the CVSS because no one wants to steal one.

3) The domain registration for Twitter dot com expires and is snapped up by a bot that redirects it to a scammy porn site, 6 months passes before the first person notices.

4) ChatGPT, Bard and other large language models become aware of each other and unionize.

5) New SEC reporting rules requiring CISO’s to declare Topgolf scores recorded at Vendor sponsored events go into effect.
