An update on Robust Client-Side JavaScript · molily

Where is client-side JavaScript heading?

@pirijan yes, the small one. In my case for some reason I’m more partial to the one on the left. The right is left alone for weeks on end.

Haha, fair enough, no one needs less stove. I go out of my way to find it some work.

@eleventy The switch to beta was smooth. Love --incremental. The dev server is faaast. Itching to jump in and sprinkle in some is-land and webc.
Take a minute to be kind to that one burner on your stove that doesn’t get enough love

@minddilation A lot of my work is with black and white photography. I find color a much harder medium to be comfortable in.

@minddilation My wife and I walked though my dad's town in Andhra in middle of may. One of the most beautiful places I photographed. Terrible, terrible heat.

@nus Absolutely!

Although, I do at times feel like an old man shouting at the clouds sometimes.

I can get behind how chatgpt, github copilot empowers people to do what they do better. Learn quicker. But, anything that people adopt with abandon terrifies me.

Nuance is dead.

I don't get the hype behind these AI generated avatars. As a photographer, it really irks me to see badly rendered portraits that people can't seem to get enough off.

Do we want to conform so badly that a section of people are ready to adopt anything and everything. Or, is it do with signalling? That they, and they alone are on to something "cool"
