Trump orders flags throughout the United States lowered to 'Half Mast' until Sunday evening in honor of Charlie Kirk.

This honor was never extended to any schoolchildren gunned down in their classrooms or Democrats murdered in political violence in Minnesota. When Paul Pelosi was nearly murdered, Republicans cracked jokes and spread conspiracy theories.

If we want to step back from political violence, we need leaders who respect others, not just play politics.

I regularly get death threats. I've had to go to federal court to testify against the man who wanted to kill me and my children. I have never responded by calling for violence against those who seek to harm me, & certainly never against any block of people.

We have no idea who killed Kirk, and may not for a while. But speculation only creates more chaos. And we don't create peace by demanding an eye for an eye.

If we want peace, take this moment to thoughtfully reflect, not seek blind revenge.

@jtig @fre and… with single sign on, you change the compromised credential in one place, and all places are protected. It is an administrative consolidation. You are reducing your credential footprint in exchange for expanding the domain of access. With that said, passwords are just plain weak sauce. If your SSO solution is not using a strong credential (2FA, WebAuthN, certs…something) it probably doesn’t matter much.
‘maters are started. Prolly shoulda put them under lamps 2 weeks ago, considering the way winter never came and spring is already…
@topher archive ink and paper is a thing…for a pretty penny you can get pens and paper in that quality / condition. Or, skip the ink and use good old pencil. Lead does not fade.

The Six Dumbest Ideas in Computer Security

For the #identity crowd…things I’ve been thinking about this week: the entity that represents “who you are” is not necessarily the same entity that represents “what you can access”. Your user “account” may, can and should be distinct from the “principle” which is assigned access in a given service or system.
Fixed!!!
Senseo surgery! How far would you go to fix your favorite coffee maker? And, no, the current generation is not the same…

My kid: so is that like a couple of days?

Me: do the math…

…a few minutes later…

My kid: oh!!
