I regularly get death threats. I've had to go to federal court to testify against the man who wanted to kill me and my children. I have never responded by calling for violence against those who seek to harm me, & certainly never against any block of people.

We have no idea who killed Kirk, and may not for a while. But speculation only creates more chaos. And we don't create peace by demanding an eye for an eye.

If we want peace, take this moment to thoughtfully reflect, not seek blind revenge.

Thank you for such thoughts. You are a true leader.

Can't we be honest and discuss how only one side of the political spectrum is driven by revenge, "toughness" and domination?

This dehumanization and preference for violence (eg "strength") over process and human rights is destroying society.

#CharlieKirk , Trump and MAGA's hateful ideology is the problem here and it will destroy everyone.

Edit: Let's be more clear on WHO should reflect on this violence.

@QasimRashid But yeah, let's give right wing nazi's a megaphone to broadcast their insane speech without batting an eye. Let's embrace an "honest debate" with people that actively say minorities and women should be killed. I don't condone violence either, but Charlie Kirk was a fucking monster.

@QasimRashid To lend some context, I've been in therapy for years to unpack why I'm the way I am, and I can't help but theorize that he had a horrible childhood and was fundamentally broken inside. No one ends up with that much hate in their heart without a reason. Kids are, by default, empathetic and caring beings and it's up to their parents to screw them up.

@QasimRashid Powerful and inspiring words. I so easily feel anger every time I witness unfairness or cruelty, and in my mind, I wish I could destroy this evil. But this might not be the right path. We really need more people to hear these words. I need to believe humanity can achieve world peace.

@QasimRashid it is not blind revenge to demand we treat Nazis as we did in 1945.
It is a demand that we hold ourselves, as a society, to at LEAST the same moral and ethical standards we had at the same time being black disqualified you from serving.
Yeah.
And instead people are falling all over themselves to regress to an absolutely embarrassing degree. Something that simple, and they continuously fail the test.

Do you think the US will in the near future be able to reform its GUN laws? Here are the GUN violance stats for 2023 , the latest complete figures.
Yearly total. 46728
Suïcide. 27300
Homicide. 17800
the rest are moslim accident
Apparently the US is prepared to pay this very high price for the privalidge of being able to own a firearm

@Coelecanth @QasimRashid we don’t have assisted suicide. 1/2 of those people just wanted it to end as quickly as possible. Those deaths aren’t about gun control, they are about all the other forms of control.

@Coelecanth @QasimRashid as an owner of several, yep. It was shockingly easy, the main obstacle was price. We have more guns than citizens though, over 512M estimated. It’d be easier to get rid of the white people than the guns.

@QasimRashid Thank you for speaking out. Facing threats and still urging nonviolence takes real courage. We don’t know who killed Kirk; rushing to judgment or encouraging retribution won’t bring justice. Support the investigation and protect due process.
