I kid, of course! that was the grounds left over from making these, the week's cold brew. I go through 8 oz of grounds to make a little over 48 oz of this stuff.

four days later, and the patch has clearly grown larger. whatever these are they're prolific as all heck. the fungus is crowding itself real tight! Slugs tried to eat one of them that fell down, but I don't know how successfully. I haven't identified these either, but they /might/ be ringless honey mushroom.
