I found these mushrooms growing near where I park every day, back on Tuesday.
four days later, and the patch has clearly grown larger. whatever these are they're prolific as all heck. the fungus is crowding itself real tight! Slugs tried to eat one of them that fell down, but I don't know how successfully. I haven't identified these either, but they /might/ be ringless honey mushroom.
no, I'm not going to try to eat these. even if I get a white spore print, I'm not sure it's entirely safe without getting advice from someone who knows a lot more than I do. and even then, I know these mushrooms don't agree with everyone. best to be safe!
showed the mushrooms to an expert today, got an idfk type response. whatever these LBMs are, I think I'm not going to get a better answer. at least now I have a field guide.
