the reason mastodon isn't "winning" over bluesky is that mastodon is like a linux help desk whereas bluesky is like a furry porn bar and people will use the furry porn bar over the linux help desk

@aradiogurl it’s not going away per se, mostly that carriers are moving allocation away from it and over to 5G. LTE is still around, it’s just kind of a shadow of what it used to be, at least over here.
