After a month I can confirm that “not caring” and just being cordial and friendly with people (even if you find them annoying!) is the right move. Work is WAY less stressful after doing this consistently for a while.
Usually, your coworkers/bosses aren’t your friends, even if they can sometimes act like it. There are exceptions, obviously, but I think I get this dissonance in my head sometimes where I take someone acting in their own self interest as a personal slight.
@lokieliot I was pretty excited for mobile until I actually tested it out. It’s really got a long way to go.. but this seems promising too! The dream is to be able to pick up my phone/steam deck and roam around the mainland before I go to sleep.
I’m not really a regular SL user like I used to be, but I always get an itch to come back every once in a while haha
Starting to think that I will never fit into this workplace. They are so small and insular, they want me to conform to tightly to how they do things, but they’re all workaholics with no balance in their lives. It’s hard to be a “8:30-5” kind of guy here without drawing ire from management.
I’m just so not looking forward to job hunting again.
