If it takes 10,000 hours to achieve expertise in a skill, you can cut that down to 20,000 hours with the help of AI.
“I have concepts of a plan” me when someone asks me for a status update on my JIRA tickets

Yesterday’s Apple event was… tedious. This is why I’m tooting now, after a night of sleep.

It somehow felt very bland and exciting for the wrong reason. Have you noticed how they’ve chosen locations outside of Apple campus? Big vistas, pretty nature, and grand architecture. Craig was talking about ai but all I could focus on how pretty the monument is. They didn’t let him crack a single joke.

Updates are mostly meh, too.

Photo button looks cool but not $1k cool. More like wait a year or two cool. New colors are nice. And regular iPhones got a decent camera bump but a two year’s old Pro is about the same and prob cheaper on eBay. There are no other meaningful improvements.

Watch got amazing new designs that is almost exactly like the old one. New black Ultra looks nice, though.

AirPods line is weird. They push Pro like it’s the only model they have. Base model is basically to fill in the lower price tier. A potentially more powerful Max has no software updates Pro gets. It seems like the guy responsible for Max quit 2 years ago. Max only got USB-C because the cable guy wants to eliminate Lightning from the inventory. Otherwise Max is 3 years old hardware for the same price.

There were some mildly interesting new Health features announced but it’s weird how they’re limited to new hardware as they seem to be mostly implemented in software.

And when I was already tired, Tim shouted at me for another 5 minutes. By then I was firmly under impression he’s alone on the campus. Everyone avoids him. They’re either hiding in the basement or escaped the office altogether for the greater open spaces.
