3.#SteamMachine is, in effect, #Valve saying that they don't care about #raytracing in PC gaming for the foreseeable future.
Other thoughts:
1. #steammachine has a helluva big heat sink/fan assembly for an underwhelmingly specced device.
2. Foveated streaming is a headline #steamframe feature, but no mention yet of foveated rendering. If you're gonna do VR (like Alyx) on a low power device, you'll want to cut corners somehwere.
Guessing the value proposition of Valve's new #steammachine (slated for early 2026) will be somewhat ameliorated by bundling it with #HalfLife3.

I'd like to welcome all the people who weren't proud and patriotic Brits last week but now are and who, all of a sudden, feel the need to decorate lamp posts with George Cross flags.
Just be careful not to do any pogroms or anything. It'd be terribly ironic if patriotism got confused with going full Nazi.

There's this thought experiment where you're asked to imagine* a general strike, and then consider which trades you notice are missing. Generally it's the likes of refuse collectors and the people who came to be known as 'key workers' during the covid pandemic that are identified as being, well, key workers.
