I leave the house more often now, and that exposes me to people. I am thus constantly reminded about the sheer amount of disinformation so many live immersed in. I remember, back in Uni in North London in 1992, the hours of joyful speculation with an Irish mathematician about what would later be known as "The Internet", about what an incredible world it could be once knowledge were accessible to all. I wonder where you are now, old Tipperary friend. Wish we could drown our sorrows together.
Some advice?
I have a landing page with the name of the novel I am writing, but I want it to encourage people to feel able to write to me anonymously (been encouraging this for years).
I don't have money for expensive hosting but want to avoid hosting in the States, if possible, where it's cheaper.
Can anyone suggest a cheap (will not add much media if at all!), secure domain + email + minimal hosting (just for words, maybe a forum) solution? I would use my real name and be visible.
What I learnt working in socially useful organizations:
1) There are so many people and organisations that could help someone who lives isolated and ostracised or simply in fear of ridicule or segregation. "Could". But mostly, won't.
2) Sometimes laws can be on your side. But laws need people who implement them, respect them, follow them and, most importantly, tell you about them. And hey guess what? That doesn't happen a lot.

That barren stick coming out of the ground used to be a glorious eucalyptus tree. I almost cried when they cut it down last summer, they said it would be good for it and would regrow. As I wait for that miracle to happen, I tell myself well, on the bright side, I can now see the sunrise.
I am sad. I am sad because on one hand discovering ADHD as a possible cause for much of me has been illuminating, made me cry with relief that I am not alone, and answered many questions that hounded me throughout my life.
On the other, the limitations it brings about, combined with the Abhorrent Obstacle (selfishness, and an obsession with gain and profit) made it way too hard for me to get anything good out of society and pass it on to my beloved black sheep.
I have decided to step down from my nonprofit, as I didn't succeed in getting these points across:
1) As we are all lacking something, let us help one another, because we can!
2) We are REALLY not the place to come to in order to exploit other people
3) I did not create this association to make money, so no, I will not join you so you can make more money out of your only-in-name nonprofit.
