#PoliceRacism costs #RomaniLives. Kostas Fragoulis, the 16-year-old who was shot in the head by the police in #Thessaloniki last week, died in hospital this morning. He had been in a critical condition for days after the severe head injury. He was pursued by police on motorcycles after allegedly failing to pay for €20 worth of petrol at a petrol station. The police officer accused of killing him has been suspended and is under house arrest awaiting for court.

Yesterday, protesters took the streets of #Athens in solidarity with a 16-year-old #romaní boy who was shot in the head by the police, in Thessaloniki the day before. "The cops fired because he was Roma" - says the graffiti writing on the wall, in a rare show of popular support for Romani people against state violence.

Keep Talking Greece

Today in #Greece the police shot a 16yo Rom boy in the head for not paying a 20 euros bill at a gas station.
The cops are saying that there had been a car chase but there is testimony that the car had already hit against a wall and stopped before the shooting.

The boy, Kostas Fraghoulis, is in intensive care in critical condition.

This is just another case of #PoliceBrutality in Greece, just one year before cops killed another Rom in a car chase.

"On this day in 1967, seeing a "scruffy signal" in her data, astronomer Jocelyn Bell revolutionized our understanding of the universe with the discovery of pulsars. (The signal became a famous Joy Division record cover.) Someone else got the Nobel for her discovery"

Two Documentaries Introduce Delia Derbyshire, the Pioneer in Electronic Music

With her buttoned-up style, work with the UN, and name like a plucky character in a certain English wizard series, Delia Derbyshire may not seem a likely pioneer of experimental electronic music.
