I feel bad, most Chinese genuinely want to do the right thing and protect themselves and others. Most *don't* want to "live with COVID" but they have so little information and means to protect themselves or reduce their exposure😣

Thinking more about performative mask wearing and the whole 'negotiating with the virus' mindset that public health leaders seem to have had, at least early on. Our society has a real problem engaging with reality

Wear a KN95 or better. Mold it around your nose and face so you don’t feel leaks. Wear it in any circumstance you could smell someone smoking. If you can’t access some, reach out and I will hook you up. It’s too important and kids are suffering needlessly while we mince words.

IMPORTANT: Those at-home tests you’ll be able to order next week won’t arrive by Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or New Year’s. BUT! If you have private insurance you can walk into most drug stores and get 8 free at-home tests at no cost PER INSURED PERSON, EVERY 30 DAYS.

ā€œNow, a massive legal battle is playing out across the country as more than 200 providers of public drinking water, including Lakewood, sue manufacturers, distributors and in some cases the Defense Department in federal court to determine who will pay the cleanup bills that will tally in the billions of dollars.ā€

More ā€˜forever chemicals’ found in WA drinking water as cleanup costs mount

More than a dozen public water systems have detected levels of PFAS, a persistent contaminant, above levels defined by WA to be hazardous. Who will pay for the cleanup?

As a young doctor, I didn’t understand that I could enter my patients’ lives to the degree that I do now, and that doing so would make me a better physician. After some particularly challenging experiences of death and loss early on, I read Ignatius of Loyola’s ā€œSpiritual Exercises,ā€ written in the 1500s, in which he …
