At the Open Science meeting @TUeindhoven , now @HLdeJonge providing an overview of the open science agenda in The Netherlands.
Omdat het zo'n mooi eerbetoon is... ik post hem nogmaals, de cartoon voor morgen in NRC over Wim de Bie. #WimdeBie
@JeanMarcvanTol briljant!
@DrVeronikaCH in this case the situation really didn't lend itself to that. For a couple of reasons, one of which being that I didn't want to bring the whole classroom into a conversation between students about something that happened off-campus.
@DrVeronikaCH As already pointed out in another reply, my post was unintentionally unclear about the fact that I did not witness the harassment itself, only an account of it. My bad.
@esty I understand. I am sorry for the confusion.
@esty I totally agree that not being a passive bystander is important but in this case I did not witness the harassment itself. The thing I overheard was one student telling another that this had happened to her some time earlier this week.
Today is #InternationalWomenInScienceDay . After overhearing a conversation between students yesterday, I have a very simple request. Do not make fun of women for choosing a STEM college program, or a STEM career. They belong here, and it's not up to you to tell them they don't.

On my way to Utrecht for the joint workshop on Soft Matter and self-assembly. Organised by #4TU High Tech Materials, #M2i and the #Zernike institute. Such a great line-up!

Today's quote that illustrates how things have changed in the past years:

"What is this snow doing on the roads? Can we get online school from home today?"
