On this day 8 years ago I had an early version of wezterm in a decent enough shape that I was considering using it as a daily driver for real work. I don't recall how well that stuck in that first week!
I can tell from the washed out color in the screenshot that it was before I had learned to whisper the words of power that enabled SRGB.
I can't believe it's been 8 years already.
I had someone comment on a PR (that was closed by its author) saying that it had been over a month since the last part of the discussion on there and asking if I'd had time to do anything about it. I don't think folks realize how many things are competing for attention on github; I've turned off most notifications, but it's still a lot of stuff in my notification inbox. I simply don't have time to prioritize on closed issues or PRs; I barely have time for those that are open!
I'm shopping for some light fittings; I need to replace a lot of out-dated fittings to reduce energy consumption so I'm definitely interested in bulk savings!
Total hours lost to weird local DNS issues due to moving house and changing the network setup is now up to around 4 hours across two separate occasions. Neither started out as "oh, it's a DNS issue".

Icons like this always parse in my brain first as coat hangers, so I tend to be thinking about closets for a few moments whenever I scan over them
as much as I wanted to do some grilling tonight, I’ll yield hanging out in front of the grill to this black-tailed rattlesnake! His nap and subsequent professional removal to somewhere less populated are clearly more important!
