Greetings from WE8MAY! I am a single mom in Michigan. I've been an amateur operator for years now but still consider myself new to the hobby due to the fact I never really got to get into clubs and things. I'm hoping that can finally change. I have just a basic license for Canada and tech for the US. My Canadian callsign is VA3AWL. If you'd like to follow my personal account please follow @DevilsChild1978

What do you call a ham radio operator in the middle of the dessert with no A/C in their car?

Baked ham.

Why did the Op-Amp cross the road?

Because he kept receiving negative feedback.

Two windmills stood on a hill with a radio.

One turned to his friend and asked, “What’s your favourite music?”

The other windmill said, “I’m a big metal fan.”

What's the difference between the Congress and my 60 year old ham radio?

My radio still has a working speaker.

Wow, Michigan is definitely being represented on the #MorningBrew today. #WE8MAY #AmateurRadio #EastCoastReflector
Good day everyone. I was wondering if there is a place to find a list of all the nets for #Allstar and #BlindHams I use to have a list of all the nets I wanted to check into, but looks like I lost them when I upgraded my computer. Oh the joys of starting fresh, :) Thanks for any assistance. #WE8MAY and #VA3AWL
@w8emv Good luck to you. I'm currently studying for general through fasttrackham.com
Starting studying for my general class this morning. I'm working on it using fasttrackham.com. I'm studying by chapters at the moment, small portions at a time. The audio version is pretty helpful. I just finished chapter 3 which has a little mixture of a refresher from tech and throws in a little new for general. I believe chapter 4 is going to end up being more new than refresher. But so far things are going well.
@AE4WX Thank you. :)
Good day once again. Since it has been a while here's a brief intro about myself. I am totally blind and live in Michigan. I've had my US tech license since April/May of 2021. It's been even longer since I got my Canadian basic license, lol. When I was in Canada I always loved being net control and would love to be able to do that sometime in the US. My interests is also to try for general class for my US license and I would love to be able to learn about skywarn if possible for a blind person
Good day everyone. It has been a long time since I have used this account. Life being life my amateur radio time was on the back burner, but I'm back again and hopefully could move forward more with getting back into the hobby and obtaining things I wish to do. My US callsign is #WE8MAY and my Canadian callsign is #VA3AWL
Good day everyone. A quick reintroduction since I haven't posted here in a while. My name is May, I'm totally blind and I live in Michigan. I've had my US #TechLicense for a couple of years now and I am now studying to upgrade to #GeneralLicense and it is making my head spin. Things got pretty nuts for me with work and kids so I haven't had the chance to really get into everything, but I'm hoping that can change now.
@N6RXT Thanks, but I just realized it was the Openspot 3 that I actually bought.
