@ton @stefan The WordPress implementation of AP (led by @obenland and @pfefferle) can be applied to WordPress single-instance sites and all or some sites within WordPress multisite networks. In both cases, each instance or subsite or potentially all of their users can have a unique address in the fediverse. Complicating your efforts to count servers vs. users, a single instance of WP Multisite can use one or many different TLDs and subdomains for its subsites.

Interesting. WordPress and Ghost now make up more than half of all fediverse servers. (Not in terms of number of accounts, just a server count.)
