#bookstodon I've just finished The Dead Zone by Stephen King. If I didn’t know it was written in 1979, I'd think it is an allegory of today's US politics, especially #Trump and #MAGA.

Just finished We Were Made for These Times: Ten Lessons for Moving Through Change, Loss, and Disruption by Kaira Jewel Lingo (2021).

Simple and pleasant reading, and I believe it was written from the heart. However, it wasn’t quite my cup of tea. To me it felt a bit bland, and I didn’t really learn anything entirely new.

My son got his flu vaccine yesterday. It was a nasal spray, so there was no pain at all, and it was actually quite fun for him. And we even managed to get to nursery afterwards.

It cost around €30, and part of it will be covered by our insurance.
