I have seen this Simons ad (and now the YouTube video) and, in light of disadvantaged people having to use MAID for lack of timely healthcare, I think treating assisted dying as performance art is nothing short of ghoulish.

A few days later, on October 24, one of Canada’s best-known fashion retailers, Quebec-based La Maison Simons, launched an advertising campaign based on her wish to die. Next time Musk or Bezos extols the virtues of expanding humanity to other planets, some handy math about their little dick measuring rocket flights. I guess they're trying to make sure we destroy this planet first.

What if, instead (per the second image) they spent their billions on wind turbines (and housing)?

The one rule about following back I am maintaining here, as with Twitter ... If you follow me and have no posts yourself, I won't follow back. I'd like to know what you're about first.

I hadn't realized Qatar pledged that the World Cup would be carbon neutral and, well, that might be the stupidest thing I have ever read.

Their pledge not only underestimates the C02e of building stadiums, and they seem to think buying carbon credits absolves them, but the plan doesn't seem to take all the travel and activities for athletes, attendees and everything else into account.

This is the kind of math that is dooming humanity.

Qatar’s Carbon-Neutral World Cup Is a Fantasy

There’s no such thing as a carbon-neutral event, but that doesn’t mean sustainability is a non-starter for football’s biggest party.
