@simonbs Also, zOffset must be exactly 0 on all subviews (line numbers). Lower or higher values mess with the scroll edge effect.

@simonbs ok yeah, that's really strange. contentInset seems like a good theory.

@simonbs You could try to set scrollView.leftEdgeEffect.isHidden = true to hide the blurring on the left side. The line numbers are probably trickier depending on your view hierarchy. It's important that anything that should be affected by the scroll edge effect must be a subview of the UIScrollView. Not only that, it must be below the private `_UIScrollPocket` and above the `_UIScrollPocket.Backdrop` views.

@nicklockwood I sometimes like to define a global actor instead of small actor objects to isolate a certain area of the app just to ensure it doesn't block work on the main thread while still making it easy to communicate between components isolated to that actor without everything needing to be async. Might be a total misuse of the feature, don't know.

@Viditb Both "Meine Partnerin" (female partner) and "Mein Partner" (male partner) are valid translations. The problem is that german requires you to choose a gender. There is not really a gender neutral version of the word. There is the "Generische Maskulinum" but that's not really used when you talk about a known specific individual person.
Of course the gender information is missing / not required in the original english sentence so it's ambiguous in the translation.
