We were at the BayFC opener and had a great time!
I’m having a fantastic time so far. If it wasn’t for the placeholder art I’d be hard pressed to say this wasn’t a completed game

What's the best way to (start) learning a language? - Lemmy.World

I traveled to Japan for a few weeks last year and had grand plans to learn a bunch of phrases, but got lazy and punked out. I still had a great time, everyone was super kind, but it was embarrassing how well so many folks spoke English and I couldn’t even be assed to put in a bit of work. My wife is half Mexican and we’re in California, and she gets a lot of people initially talking to her in Spanish, which she can’t speak beyond an ordering food level, and would like to change that. What’s the best way for us both to get to a beginning conversational level in Spanish? I tried Duolingo a while ago and it was eh, and I’ve heard it’s all AI these days. Any other recommendations?

. . . How many times are we talking here? Like a weird two nickels, or enough that it’s a really creepy coincidence?
Fuzzy sheets, a couple thick blankets, and a huge dog means it’s never too cold while sleeping. But also we’re in California so we have pretty mild winters overall too
Wife and I have been full naked sleepers the entire time we’ve known each other; sleeping with clothes on seems so strange
We’re using Jamf and it makes it at least tolerable. Make sure to get Apple Business Manager going so you can load devices in as Supervised, otherwise you lose the little forced update controls you have. But yeah when Intune looks like the reasonable solution it’s all bad.

Oh haha no this is hundreds of iPads across a number of locations, and a lot more harassing folks than I’d like to get their devices turned on so they can update and meet our audit requirements.

You would think if I’ve had to contact your department the last three updates in a row to get it done, and the only check ins I see for months are during the updates, maaaaybe your team doesn’t actually need these devices, Brad, but no their VP just has to have them.

In a perfectly timed release, I just got the last iPad in our fleet onto 26.2.1 this morning so of course 26.3 dropped 30 minutes later.
Really cool article and movement, thanks for sharing it. I’ve been printing whistles and leaving them in my little free library but had no idea there was this nation wide movement going on.
