If you are on Pleroma and using a mobile app to access it, you’ll see all replies from people you are following to users you don’t follow. And if you follow people who chats a lot in threads, your timeline becomes a huge mess without any context! The experience is not nice. The only way I found of disabling that is in the web version.
Does anybody know how to disable those in the Mastodon app? This doesn’t happen in a Mastodon instance.
I’ve been working full time with Elixir for the last 3 years and I noticed that I no longer spend weekends learning about the inner workings of the language, frameworks, tricks, gotchas, etc. I mostly just focus on solving business problems, and creating and fixing business bugs. When I have a performance issue, I don’t even think about splitting the app or rewriting it, or using another technology, I just reach for the most simple solution from OTP and most of the times it solves the problem.
Many devs, including me, wish they’d have their own software business, but on our current economic model, unless you borrow money from moneylords, you are better off betting the lottery.
If anyone’s wondering what the dude who sang “chocolate rain” is up to these days, he’s dropping absolute bangers about housing and he’s fucking right
Tried out LiveViewNative. Promising but there’s still a long way to go.
