i also think it's pretty *easy* to figure out that the boop is nonstandard, on account of - no 3rd party clients will show it, sadly 😭 (i use tusky and semaphore on mobile and desktop respectively, so i'd basically never see this change, tragically)
@kaliranya @misnina i think it's cute and i'm down, but i don't know that it solves the core issue - going "boop!" to someone in distress isn't much better than favoriting their problems
that said, i think a neutral "acknowledge" or whatever runs its own risk - there's a mix of personal boundaries on faving vs not faving bad posts (ie, i prefer when people do, it helps me feel seen. some people really hate it) and vtuber house users would have to be aware the language isn't standard
