Well, I've been working hard at Being Responsible lately.

I:

- chased up my psychiatrist about a letter to my university to help with my academic progression
- I have been cooking and cleaning
- I have worked out how my enrolment at uni can proceed
- I booked the appointments for myself for seeing my psychiatrist in the first place
- I have been sequestering a good chunk of my income for rainy days
- I have been taking my meds diligently and routinely

...so I splashed out and bought myself an original Gameboy and a couple cartridges. I can afford it, and I feel kind of sheepish for doing it, because my family might think poorly of doing this, but I wanted to reward myself.
Had a wholesome afternoon with my fellow hacker friend from uni! We built an XOR gate from discrete transistor logic, and an astable multivibrator blinken-light circuit from discrete transistors! The following attached video is of the blinken-lights!

Added another register bit this morning! I'm going to try and pump out a few of these today. Also, good news! The circuits work!

I didn't end up taking final photos of the five total NANDs I constructed, but here's a sample of what I did this morning:

For those using screen readers, these images are of two NANDs soldered to a fibreglass project board.

The problem with this circuit is that the components were too closely, and, despite my efforts, the cheap project board tracks ended up shorting.
