Yes, I designed both my book covers. One of the best things about my publishers was they both allow their authors creative control over their covers.

Both. Unless I'm watching TV, I'm almost always playing music. Background for reading, writing & cleaning, but often just as an activity itself.

#scribesandmakers What do you do to discourage or prevent insects and animals from eating your garden?

I don't. Other than my daffodils, my garden is pretty much a salad bar for pollinators & deer.

#WritersCoffeeClub How do you keep yourself motivated?

I tend to write more from inspiration than motivation, but it does help to view being a writer as something I am rather than just something I do. Writing has always made me feel more centered in myself, so I've always done it & hope I always will.

Pretty well. I've written, edited, & submitted more poetry (individual poems & a manuscript) this past month than I had in the past 5 years. Also received my first poetry acceptance for 2026.

Yes, I was a music reviewer for a few online publications & my local newspaper

#writerscoffeeclub Have you ever edited another's work? Was it harder than editing your own?

Yes & yes. I edited music reviews for Muruch & poetry for Ice Floe Press' New International Voices series. Editing another's poetry is especially difficult & delicate work. You have to be so careful w/ even the smallest change to preserve the writer's own voice throughout the poem.
