#ScribesAndMakers 19: Been to a poetry reading?
No, definitely not my thing. Nothing against poetry (my grandma used to write it) but that's something I'll take in moderate amounts while reading, not all at once in an oral format.
Closest we get is when a poem I wrote for Remembrance Day in high school won an award or something, and a few of us read our work... at a Legion? Somewhere.

Other than the radio commentaries--which were taped--my first public reading to a paying audience was a short story from an anthology that turned ou to have been edited by an adult film star.
I've had many readings since then, including last Thursday night. I've also done Moth-style tellings, so I guess that falls in the performed category.

I certainly have, and I will do it again! (I've also had my work performed by other people in front of an audience, which is honestly the ideal)

Yes.
I think both Theodore Sturgeon and Ray Bradbury read poetry when I sat in on their seminars, but it was so long ago, I am not entirely sure.
