@shel @halcy hey y'all i'm 99% certain i just found the problem where we're blocking outbound toots due to a missed DomainBlock replacement in the rebuild of the whitelist code

expect things to be working shortly

@shel Did it never use to let you follow?

I tested it pretty recently and I've been able to follow accounts just fine. I thought it always blocked you bc of suspension, but apparently not.

(This was publicized on a.s a couple weeks ago)

@shel nope! that's expected and normal for how federation works, though, especially if you get @'d.

Which tbh doesn't make sense, but *shrug*

@KitRedgrave @Fidgetcetera @raccoon ya it's blocked but that doesn't stop messages to other instances from federating outward- all your posts aren't gonna show up in reply in her notifications
