Hi all,

I'll be receiving the Alpha Antenna remote tuned mag loop this week.

This antenna is designed to fit onto a short antenna mast. I want to mount it on our wood deck railing. Ideally, I want something that I can clamp onto the railing.

Steve from Alpha said that satellite mounts work well for these antennas. Having never seen what a satellite mount looks like, I'm not sure what to get. I am totally blind.

Does anyone have any recommendation for a mounting solution?

I've started working on a fully accessible interface to FLDigi using it's XMLRPC interface. Things are looking promising so far. Full disclosure, I'm using Claude to help with this. I'm a passable coder, but don't have the skills to tackle something like this on my own. One of the things that vibe coding has been really good for is coming up with accessibility solutions far faster than could otherwise be done. This will also require an accessible configuration tool.
Got my first Meshtastic/Meshcore device last week. Looks like there is much more Meshtastic traffic here in Toronto, but will be fun to play around with it and see what I can do. Got the Seeed Tracker t1000e.
Getting pretty frustrated by the lack of accessibility in digital modes. Apps like FLDigi are completely inaccessible for blind users. There are really good options for FT8 and soon FT4, but really struggling to find something for things like Olivia. FLDigi would need a completely new UI layer to become accessible.
Hello all! I'm located in Toronto. Currently using an Icom 7300 with a HOA Buster raingutter antenna from Alpha Antenna. Interested in digital modes and in the process of learning CW. #intro
