I probably won't appear very active, I like to lurk.

Best StateTasmania!

Having caught up over the weekend, in hindsight I shouldn't have doubted everyone telling me #Andor was good and not just 'more Star Wars'.

Great soundtrack too!

@SeaFury is this the hayfever? i thought i had that at the start of the week and then over a few days it transformed through sore throat, hacky cough, aches & chills... still not quite over it. I found out later that a bunch of friends & family have had similar recently. hope you power through it whatever it is!

I treated myself to some bone-conduction earphones and they've been pretty nifty! Light, comfy, no ear pressure, good sound quality. They're great for
✅ jogging
✅ cycling
✅ walking & hiking
✅ getting mad at how much noise pollution traffic generates, constantly, almost everywhere I go

I'm sure I'll adjust soon enough, but having music at a regular volume while everything else is louder than usual (because my ears aren't obstructed by the regular earbuds) makes the vehicles really stand out.

@Fly72 @chestas Mt Field is definitely worth a visit (and the first two waterfalls are pretty easy to access), but I had a somewhat less peaceful experience when I last visited!
The local timeline is fun, plenty of variety but a much better hit rate for "hey, that's neat" than a totally random firehose of posts.
@lizduckchong Very neat! I never picked up on the hidden images when i was listening before - I still can't tell if they're actually audible, at least to my ears.
So much greenery! Long weekend is a great excuse for a hike up a mountain (Mt Vandyke, near Sheffield Tasmania). Most of the photos are on my other cameras but this phone one from early on is a nice example. #hiking #tasmania
@Susan60 There was plenty of it strewn around the trails! Parks Tas just needs to teach the wombats to read.
Some light vandalism at Cradle Mountain's Wombat Pool. I was a little impressed, every single sign listing it that I passed was similarly edited, including some quite a distance away! (And again I forgot searching only really works on hashtags so let's edit a couple in and hope nothing breaks - #CradleMountain #Tasmania #hiking #wombat #signs )
@lizduckchong I've had my bandcamp copy of Voyager playing today and it has been a wonderful accompaniment to a laid-back Saturday (and good focus music for the chores too!). Pretty neat outcome from checking out the Local tab here when I joined last year and seeing who was posting interesting things! (Not sure what my favourite track is, they blend together well. Maybe Orbital Manouevre?)
