Dr. Amiri will serve as Chair of a Special Session at the IEEE ICMLA 2026 on neurocognitive-inspired machine learning.

He’ll lead the review process and help shape research at the intersection of AI, security, and real-world applications- reflecting his impact in computer science.

Dr. Carver’s ICSE 2007 paper, “Software Development Environments for Scientific and Engineering Software: A Series of Case Studies,” has received a retrospective SEIP Most Influential Paper Award-recognizing its lasting impact on the software engineering community.

Last weekend, we hosted the ReliaQuest Labs here on campus, bringing students together for hands-on learning in cyber security and real-world insights. We had a full room with great questions and lots of learning
