After using Elk for a while, I tried Phanpy again, but set up a column view instead of a single feed. My brain likes this so far - notifications on the left, main following feed in the middle, #T2Pub on the right. No visible interaction buttons - you do everything through the right click menu, which is custom and has some handy shortcuts.
My only gripe is that .gifs don't autoplay, you have to hover over them with your mouse. Hopefully they'll create a settings toggle someday.
