@MonaApp How can i follow a user that I just have the url for, like https://mastodon.online/@electrek. I don’t want to have to go to mastodon.social to do that (which is what I did). Is this possible in the app?

I, a Black woman, have had a marvelous experience on Mastodon because these mods don't play. For being a place-specific instance, SFBA has a very clearly expressed value system and it's reflected in the mods. They are proactive, even-handed, and respectful.
I wish others on #BlackMastodon and through the #BlackFediverse could say the same of their instance mods.

Alan Martello@JonnyT @Reno @Esowes @atomicpoet @fediversenews @Hey_Beth @MonaApp @ivory My biggest complaint of all the apps including @MonaApp is once I’ve seen a post (whether in timeline or because I’ve drilled down into a thread) - don’t show it to me again!
I spend 30-40% of my time scrolling past the same posts over and over from reblogs or one’s I’ve read in a thread.
PSA: If you are using @[email protected] on MacOS and are using a scroll wheel mouse, you must turn off touch alternatives in the settings in order to get it to work. My apologies to the @[email protected] for my operator error!
