Fun fact, the shaking hands #emoji 🤝 has different variations for different skin colour, for example 🤝🏼. This is fairly standard and lots of emojis with skin have this option. But, you can mix the colours like this 🫱🏽🫲🏿, yut you cant mix a human coloured hand with the yellow hand. So there is no shaking hands emoji where one hand is white and the other one is for example white.

I find it a bit suspicious that the CIE stated value for JND is 0.02 and everyone in that thread is getting < 0.01. I should read how was the 0.02 number derived.

I am doing some experiments with image manipulation in #go and I've run into an issue where saving the file would take about 6.6 seconds. It was a 4k 4:3 file but it still felt weird to me that it would take than long. Now I think the problem was that I added noise to the file and image/png had trouble compressing the file. I decided to give #QOI a shot and it saved in about 10 × faster and the file was 8 MB smaller.
