American cops set a new record for killing people in 2023, with 1,329.

The number of people they've killed has increased in every year since the racial justice movement of 2020.

There were only 14 days without a police killing last year.

@waldoj Whoa, that’s promising. My wife waited 6 months for hers btwn end of last year & this year. She used the pilot program online application, which was a big mistake! We need to renew our daughter’s now, so good to hear things are better.

@dcseifert Actually pulled the trigger on 13” Air following keynote, since 15” didn’t bring anything new. Upgrading from 2016 15”. Wanted more portability & will use w/ external monitor at desk. Most of my apps are single threaded so not feeing the need for Pro (chip or MacBook models!).

@siracusa Thanks. So you prefer the Tamron 17-70 over the Sony 16-70 (which I currently have)? I guess the wider aperture makes a big difference.
