@mmasnick HUBRIS. He is a brilliant guy, but far from perfect.
Did you know he was an close adviser to Elizabeth Holmes & Theranos during her rise? She is apparently godmother to one of their kids. Smart thing though (from what I can tell) Andreessen/Arrillaga never invested in Theranos! My guess is that they knew EH was a fake, justifying it as a Silicon Valley badge of honor: "Fake it until you make it!"
Wonder if Marc called in favors with Jack Dorsey. You know, hold down the noise...
@robert @w7voa This is not good, really who cares about Elon dumping shares so he can pay his bills...the sad part is today, Tesla builds really good products and those products are designed and manufactured by some really great and insightful employees, designers, marketers, engineers (HW/SW) managers. The great people there are going to easily be recruited away...not because of ideology, but ECONOMICS. So many are now underwater with their stock option upside. Sad for Tesla
@JillianMHurley I don't get it...why is "woke" considered a bad thing? The term has been weaponized, yes? Doesn't woke also mean "aware"?
I understand that authoritarians (political, religious, etc..) don't like it when people they want to rule over become "aware".
Am I understanding this correctly?
@JillianMHurley I can hardly stand, I am laughing so hard. Such a tell-tale. We need to come up for a new name for deplorable. I bet we can ask a couple of the MAGA dolts in J6 jail what they think about MTG and Sen Mike Lee seeking their re-writing history to cover their own pathetic lives
